Blue Ridge hiking tour with areas #1 Guide (1/2 day)
During our hike in Pisgah National Forest off the BlueRidge Parkway you will experience mountain views, streams, different wildlife, and all sorts of plants, trees, mushrooms and more. We often finish with extra waterfall views and visits if time permits. We specialize in getting you away from the crowds so that you can enjoy the true beauty that the Asheville area provides, within the Blue Ridge Mountains, on trails more off the beaten path. All of our guides are licensed with the USFS and have years of experience. Our goal is to make this one of the best experiences of your visit to this incredible area. We met off interstate 40 west of Asheville (about 20min) at 7:50am to get going at 8am. From our meeting, we drive to the Parkway with quick stops at a mountain lake and a BlueRidge overlook. We finish approximately about 12:30-1PM. We provide water, Gatorade, fruit, power bars and more. You do need your own vehicle as guests often like to drive the BlueRidge Parkway back or stop for lunch per our recommendations. We do recommend decent footwear at all times of year as the forest gets plenty of rain all year. Consider dressing in layers as the mornings it can be 5-12 degrees cooler over 5000feet. Also a light rain jacket is always a good idea.

French Broad Gorge Whitewater Rafting Trip
The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall.
